Big Little Hideaway offers a unique sanctuary where campfire spirit meets boutique tiny homes with a curated wellness menu designed to revive your mind, body, and spirit. Awe-inspiring nature serves as the backdrop for cherished memories, relaxation, and connection. Yoga classes are included in your stay!
** Potential guests! From 3/31 through the end of June, we are building a new casita. We have discounted our nightly rates during the week, as Mon-Fri, our crew will be on site from 10 am - 4:30 pm. If you plan to be off the property during the day, this shouldn't affect your stay. However, if a work site will disrupt you, please do not book with us! And save us for later in the summer!
Start your day with a cup of coffee on your private deck, while panoramic views of epic mountain landscapes unfold before you. Fill your day with the perfect itinerary and end the day looking up at the stars.
Our rural and secluded 5-acre property features 3 tiny houses, each spaced 25+ feet apart, offering privacy and community. Hot springs, paddleboarding, hiking, and endless roads to explore are right outside the gate. Taos and Arroyo Secco are just 15 minutes away, where you can indulge in great food, explore galleries, and shop, or venture to the high alpine village of Taos Ski Valley, only 30 minutes away. There are so many opportunities for adventure and renewal.
Make your stay even more memorable by taking advantage of our menu of experiences... from yoga to sound bath classes, massages and body work, outdoor adventures, and guided night sky observations. Big Little Hideaway is truly a unique retreat, and we’re here to help you create the perfect getaway.
Built in 2021, Rainbow Connection features colorful southwestern decor, high-quality bedding, and all the modern conveniences: a mini-split AC/Heat, a furnace for those super-cold winter nights, a three-burner stove, an oven, a refrigerator/freezer, and a full bathroom with a tankless water heater. You'll love the giant picture window, private deck, and gazing at the stars at night.
While kids and fur babies love the wide-open spaces to explore and play, parents can relax with the peace of mind that our property is tucked safely away from the main road.
Friendly and trained pets are welcome. Please refer to our pet policy for details.
Feel free to wander anywhere on the property while respecting the privacy of the other guests. We’ve created little perches at the best spots, especially for sunrise and sunset. Everyone loves the hot tub, and though it is shared, we’ve never had a complaint that it wasn’t available.
We are a tranquil retreat space, and ask that all guests respect the 9 PM quiet time rule.
We’re located on a rural gravel road with a 'New Mexico True' eclectic mix of adobe homes, earthships, modular homes, vintage trailers, and farms. You don’t need 4-wheel drive, though we do recommend it in the winter or at least snow chains on hand. Reserve your preferred tiny house now for peak-season nights and ensure your spot in this serene escape.

From Taos: Head North out of Taos on 64. Highway 64 becomes 522 at a big intersection just outside of town (you will see signs to turn right to the ski valley). Continue straight on 522.
About 5.5 miles on 522, start to slow down and look for a pentagon-shaped blue road marker for 007 on the right side of the highway. Get ready to take the next left onto 006, which is about 1 mile past 007. The road markers are on the right side of the highway, but the only option is to turn left.
Our property is almost exactly 1 mile down 006 on the left. See the attached photos of the front gate.
CODES and PASSWORDS
The gate code for entering and exiting is 2244. To enter, you’ll find the keypad on the left-hand side of the gate on the rock wall, and to exit, you’ll find the keypad on a pole on the left-hand side of the driveway in front of the gate. The gate will automatically close in 90 seconds.
The Rainbow Connection is the front unit on the left. Please park in your designated space. Enter the door code 1-0-1-0, then press the lock symbol. You may need to pull the door towards you as you hit the lock symbol. If you prefer keys, there are 2 sets of keys on hooks to your left as you enter.

In the winter, we usually turn off the water between guests. If the water is off, go around the backside of the Rainbow to a knee-height box with a lid. Open the lid and pull the lever all the way up to the vertical position.

My wife and I are nature lovers; we camp, hike, ski, paddleboard, and ride dirt bikes. In 2015, we purchased this land and parked our Airstream so we would have a place to stay, as it had become our favorite place to visit. Slowly, Big Little Hideaway went from a dream and a vision to reality as we sold everything in Dallas and moved here full-time to raise our son and live our dream. We hope you love and appreciate the natural beauty of Northern New Mexico as much as we do! There is so much to explore: endless hiking trails, skiing, horseback riding, mountain biking, river rafting, all right outside the back door. We love sharing our little piece of the Land of Enchantment with other like-minded folks who respect, appreciate, and love the simplicity and awe-inspiring landscape.
